This April, we welcome a new tradition—Easter at Kanuga. Refresh your spirit with a Carolina spring weekend that celebrates Christ’s resurrection.

Joining Our Hearts Together

Designed to be a time of spiritual contemplation and fellowship, we’ve carefully crafted a long weekend that celebrates our faith and community of kindred spirits.

Together we’ll welcome the holiest season within the church with a Maundy Thursday evening service and foot washing at the St. Francis Chapel. Surrounded by the first stars of the evening and the Blue Ridge Mountains, we’ll start our spiritual journey.

On Good Friday, we’ll bind our hearts with Christ as we commemorate our new Stations of the Cross. Generously funded by private donors, the stations line the trail by the St. Francis Chapel. The individual shrines house small bronze plaques handcrafted in Italy that represent Jesus’s sufferings on the day of his crucifixion. The Reverend Richmond Jones will lead guests in this walking devotion with a Good Friday service closing out the day.

A Weekend Filled with Rejoicing

During the weekend, we will fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounds Kanuga. Farm tours showcasing our new Mangalitsa pigs and bees are available, along with opportunities to volunteer in our Foster Educational Garden.

On Easter Day, we rejoice with our risen Savior with a special sunrise service by Kanuga Lake. Fellowship remains the task of the day as we fill the morning with a special tea and coffee social, followed by brunch, and an Easter egg hunt.

Make plans now to be a part of this new Kanuga tradition. Unable to join us for the full weekend? Options are available just for Easter Day. Learn more and register now.
