Kanuga Day Camp
Kanuga Day Camp campers form friendships, experience new adventures, and learn about nature. Our Day Camp experience is for children in rising 1-6 who join us in the mountains of western North Carolina for five days per session (campers may attend multiple sessions).
Campers will find fun and adventure in an action-packed session staffed by well trained, compassionate adults who specialize in keeping young children safe, entertained, and engaged. Campers will play, explore, swim in mountain lakes, hike to vistas, paddle canoes, create arts and crafts, and so much more!
Day Camp is held at the Camp Bob Youth Campus. This allows us more space for more campers to have even more fun! Here is a map of the Camp Bob Youth Campus and here is a map of Kanuga where it is marked with the light green leaves.

2026 Day Camp Rates:
Day Camp Fees:
Kanuga Day Camp uses a voluntary three-tier fee system, allowing families to choose a contribution based on ability. All tiers provide the full camp experience; there is no program differentiation. This model extends our reach, fosters diversity, and ensures Day Camp’s future. Tiered pricing supports offering a quality camp experience to children from varying economic backgrounds by enabling families to pay what they can, while inviting those who can give more to support overall operations. This maximizes scholarship funding, allowing more young people to share in the transformational Kanuga Day Camp experience.
The Tiers:
Essential: $400
This is the historical subsidized rate of summer camp, made possible by Kanuga’s operating fund and contributions from individual and group donors who believe in the mission of summer camp. This rate represents operating costs.
Sustainer: $430
This rate more closely represents the cost of operating camp for the length of a camper’s experience, including operating costs.
Visionary: $460
The price that most closely aligns with the true costs of camp. This tier drives growth at camp by supporting maintenance, upkeep, and improvements to buildings, grounds, and programs.
