Music in the Pines

An Evening for All Souls

October 30, 2022 – StrathSpan

Julia Weatherford, Celtic Cello and Nora Garver, Celtic Fiddle

Kanuga’s series of outdoor concerts kicks off on Sunday, October 30 with a performance by “StrathSpan.” The duo features Celtic cellist Julia Weatherford and Celtic fiddler Nora Garver, who will perform at Kanuga’s Lakeside Pavilion.

“We wanted to offer a beautiful alternative to the greater community for the Halloween weekend experience,” says Kanuga’s Coordinator of Community & Spiritual Life Aimee Bostwick. “It’s a meaningful way to enjoy traditional Celtic music by the lake as the sun goes down, and we take a moment to remember those we love.”

On All Hallow’s Eve (October 31), The Episcopal Church service begins with a “Prayer for Light.” Learn about the Celtic roots of Halloween here.
