Thanksgiving at Kanuga

Celebrating Our Many Blessings

November 23-28, 2021

Share Thanksgiving with family and friends among the pines at Kanuga this year. With your cozy historic cottage, guest house, or inn room as home base, hike 20 miles of trails, paddle the 30-acre lake, take a downhill run on Ride Kanuga mountain bike trails, rock on the porch with a good book, enjoy cocoa by your cottage fire. And get ready to EAT! Kanuga offers three mouthwatering meals a day during your visit, plus a traditional Thanksgiving Day feast.

Kanuga requires that all Kanuga staff and guests over the age of two wear face coverings when inside Kanuga’s public spaces. This is for both the unvaccinated and vaccinated.

This is to protect young children and others who are unable to be vaccinated as well as those among us who are immunocompromised. This guidance is also designed to protect the vaccinated from break-through infection. Please wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently(Health and safety protocols are subject to change.)

As we welcome you back to Kanuga, we are committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19. We will actively monitor and evolve our solutions to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests and staff.

Kanuga’s is home to a variety of wildlife, including bear, deer, and (of course!) geese. Please be aware of your surroundings, and never chase or feed wildlife. Geese can be particularly aggressive when threatened.

There is a three-night minimum stay during Thanksgiving week.

Each historic cottage or guest house features a porch, living room with fireplace, and plenty of charm. Accommodations range in size from one to six bedrooms and each is equipped with a mini-refrigerator and microwave. Per-night rates vary depending on the number of bedrooms and cottage amenities. Firewood for your guest cottage or guest house is available from Kanuga Market for purchase in bundles.

Adjacent to the main Lodge and renovated in 2016, the inn offers comfortable, hotel-style rooms with air conditioning and an elevator. Each floor has a communal rocking chair balcony overlooking the lake.

ALL GUESTS IN ALL LODGING: Please observe quiet time from 11 p.m.-7 a.m.
