Kanuga’s health and safety guidelines will be updated as we approach the Thanksgiving season.
CHECK-IN TIME: 4 p.m.*
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10 a.m.
*Please check in at the front desk at 4 p.m. before going to your accommodation.
Check-in: The credit card you provide the front desk staff at check-in will be used for on-site expenses during your stay. Guests must be 18+ to charge on-site expenses to lodging. We recommend purchasing a VISA gift card before you come, for your children under the age of 18 to use in the shop.
If you would like housekeeping during your stay, please complete the request form at the front desk.
Guests Visiting You on the Property: Please ask your guests, who do not plan to stay overnight, to visit the Front Desk upon arrival for information about activities and meals. The daily meal & activity package for your non-overnight guests is $65/adult per day and $45/per children 4-12. Children 3 and under are free. For individual pricing on Thanksgiving day brunch and supper only, please see rates listed under ‘Meals’ below.
Check-out: Please help us prepare for the next guest by placing your used towels in the bathtub or shower, taking out your trash, returning furniture to its original position, and emptying your cottage mini-fridge. We will strip the beds and take the refuse to our dumpsters. Remember that check-out is at 10 a.m. Thank you for helping keep our property safe and beautiful.
Housekeeping: Kanuga is not offering daily in-room housekeeping services. If you would like housekeeping services during your stay, please complete a request form at the front desk.
Kanuga Lake Inn – Please place soiled towels and linens outside of your room before 11:30 a.m. for daily fresh replacements.
Historic Cottages and Guest Houses – Please place soiled towels and bed linens outside on the steps closest to the service road by 11:30 a.m. so that our housekeepers are able to see that you need a pick-up.
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at the buffet and should not be in the dining room without a supervising adult. In the interest of minimizing waste, please help us be good stewards of the bounty God provides by monitoring your family’s portions. At Kanuga, we endeavor to “eat what we take.”
You may join us in the dining room at any point within the noted timeframe. After you dine, the table may host another family during the same meal period. Still operating within the confines of staffing shortages, we regret that we will not offer assigned tables.
- Breakfast: 7:30-9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Supper: 5:30-7 p.m.
If you feel inspired to offer one or more blessings of thanksgiving for our meals or would like to acolyte or read at one of our church services, please let us know by contacting Aimee Bostwick, abostwick@kanuga.org.

Sign-up and payment are only required if you want to make a wreath (one per family) during the Advent Eve Celebration, which will feature music, children’s activities, and hot cocoa and cider. Create your family’s Advent wreath and take a piece of Kanuga home as you journey through the season. We will light the first candle of Advent together at Kanuga. Sign up for wreath-making and pay ($20.00/wreath) here.
Over Thanksgiving week, we are not able to offer child care due to staffing shortages. We hope you will be able to enjoy the many family friendly events!
Kanuga’s pet policy will be updated as we approach the Thanksgiving season.
We are excited to welcome you to a newly refurbished and re-stocked shop and canteen. If you want your child to be able to shop without cash, we recommend purchasing in advance a VISA gift card for your children to use. Guests under 18 are not permitted to charge items to the room. Adults who would like to charge merchandise to their room should present a credit card at check-in.
