Knitting & Quilting

January 14-17, 2021

Take a weekend retreat and join in a variety of workshops with innovative experts. Crafters of every experience level work on a project of their choosing and learn new knitting and quilting techniques.

Iconography with Suzanne Schleck

February 6-12, 2021

Explore the gospel in line and color. During this week of art and prayer, participants paint an icon using gold leaf and egg tempera on gessoed boards, lead by instructor Suzanne Schleck.

This year we are introducing an expansion of our long-running Lansing Lee Conference which will become Elevate in 2020. This conference will focus on creation care and environmental justice. We believe the health and future of humankind is deeply tied to the wellbeing and care of the environment we share. Join us as we gather to explore these important topics and the actions needed for bringing this work to life in communities around the world.

Musician’s Conference

April 6-9, 2021

The Musician’s Conference at Kanuga is a time for Church Musicians to gather in the spirit of collegial awesomeness! Over the two days and three nights, we will share ideas and resources, worship and grow together, collaborate, discuss and hear from leaders such as Fran McKendree, Dent Davidson, Charles Milling & Live Hymnal, Conie Borshardt, Sam Hensley, and hopefully YOU.  (We are all colleagues, teachers and learners.)  Come share in this sacred time of restorative worship, resource building, networking and just plain old jam-session fun.

Fly-fishing Retreat

May 4-7, 2021

Engage in the contemplative art of fly-fishing through a three-day retreat. Join local river guides from Davidson River Outfitters to learn casting techniques, fly-fishing knowledge, and enjoy a guided fishing trip to Davidson River.

Sophia, Mother Earth, Mary the Mother of God, Quan Yin, The Great Mother – these and many more are names for the Divine Feminine. The need for healing, compassion, connection, unity, balance, and empathy are bringing many of us to seek solace and wisdom from the Feminine Divine. Nuevo Amanecer

Dates May 2022 to be determined (this is biennial)

The Office of Latino/Hispanic Ministries and Kanuga partner in offering the biannual Nuevo Amanecer conference for those who are already involved in Latino Ministry as well as those that are interested in becoming involved. The conference brings together many successful and dynamic leaders involved in Latino Ministries; offers workshops that provide training that can be implemented in any parish; as well as keynote addresses that promise to inspire everyone.
