LODGING

As a sacred musician, spiritual mentor and worship leader, Reverend Simon Ruth de Voil incorporates chant, ritual, poetry, storytelling, and mindful practice to create spaces for profound connection, healing, meditation, and sacred witness. Although influenced by many traditions, Simon’s spiritual path and teaching is deeply rooted in Celtic Christianity, the wisdom of the earth, and in the Scottish land where he’s spent most of his life. Simon’s program at Kanuga will also draw from the 15 years of study, training, and practice gained from his time living and working in Iona Abbey, Scotland.

Performers

Billy Jonas
Billy Jonas’ musical mission is to honor and empower the creativity, inherent intelligence, and desire to learn in young folks, as well as their elders; to inspire them, apart and together, to question and play—and to see these two things as inseparable pathways to joy. It’s a musical conversation, a sonic celebration, a splendiferous gathering of old and young because the ensemble is … EVERYONE. From beginning to end, participation is the name of the game.

Free Planet Radio

Free Planet Radio is a dynamic and genre-defying band that blends elements of jazz, world music, and improvisation into a gorgeous and exciting musical experience. With rich and textured soundscapes, intricate rhythms, and virtuosic instrumentation, the band takes listeners on a captivating journey across cultural boundaries. Comprising renowned musicians River Guerguerian on percussion and Chris Rosser on piano and multi-instruments, Free Planet Radio’s performances are a fusion of musical exploration and improvisational brilliance that will wow you!
