Kanuga Weddings

Envision Kanuga’s natural beauty and peaceful setting for your wedding.

Please note:

Kanuga is accessing how to best serve groups in the future, given the uncertain times in which we live. This is an on-going adaption for us focused entirely on our mission and guest-forward experience. We continue to work on a new structure, rates, polices, and procedures. In January 2021, we will begin to contact all of our existing groups as well as those who have recently inquired.

Please email us if you would like to be on that contact list. In order to help us plan space for your event, please have the following information ready to share with us:

  1. What date/s are you considering?
  2. How many guests to you anticipate?
  3. How many guests would be spending the night/weekend with us?
  4. Do you anticipate needing catering for your event (wedding reception, bar service, etc.)?
  5. Indoor or outdoor wedding and/or reception?
  6. Your contact information including name, phone, and email

We appreciate your ongoing patience as we navigate through these uncertain times.

Venue Options

Your ceremony location choices include Kanuga’s historic Chapel of the Transfiguration, built in 1940, or three outdoor chapels: the Pavilion on Kanuga Lake; St. Francis Chapel, in the forest next to a stream; and a third setting on a quiet hilltop. There are also additional inspiring locations to consider, such as open fields and mountain summits.

While Kanuga is open to all, certain stipulations exist to hold a ceremony in one of our chapels. You must receive permission to marry from the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. Other ceremonies in nontraditional sites may be available, depending upon your needs. Please inquire during registration for details.

*Please note that Kanuga follows all CDC and State of NC guidelines and regulations with regard to health and safety.
