COVID-19: KANUGA’S RESPONSE
03.13.2020 - Events

With the information from health officials changing rapidly, we have decided the safety and health of our guests and staff are the top priority.
Many groups scheduled to come to Kanuga for conferences during the next few weeks or schools scheduled to be at the Mountain Trail Outdoor School for the remainder of the Spring semester have cancelled.
This decision was not made lightly. We are grateful to the resilient Kanuga community for support, caring and compassion in working with us to manage rescheduling.
Guests who have scheduled to attend conferences through the middle of April, should check in with their conference coordinator concerning rescheduling and refunds. The financial impact that the loss of income will have on Kanuga is tremendous. Please consider converting your fees to a charitable contribution in order to help us get through this difficult time. Or you may make a gift on-line: https://www.kanuga.org/giving/. For information please inquire through our web site to: https://www.kanuga.org/contact-us/.
We will continue to closely monitor this situation and put in place necessary measures. We are not only working with local authorities and the CDC, but also our food service provider Sodexo, a leader in the industry for safety practices. Further, our insurance carriers are collaborating with camps and conference centers to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the guests we serve.
Conferences, Camps and summer Guest Period from late spring through the summer are currently scheduled to continue. Please check back with us for any change. The mountains of North Carolina have long been a haven and we hope to see you soon.
