Kanuga Cottage Retreats
Through August 15, 2020

We are pleased to invite you to enjoy our 1,400 acres for Kanuga Cottage Retreats, an innovative vacation solution that offers fun getaways with easy-to-follow health and safety guidelines.

COTTAGES & GUEST HOUSES

Each historic cottage or guest house features a porch, living room with fireplace, and plenty of charm. Cottages range in size from one to six bedrooms and most are equipped with a mini-refrigerator and microwave. Per night rates are available from $155 to $545, depending on the number of bedrooms and cottage location. A minimum two-night stay is required. Daily meal plans, which are added to your cottage charges, provide full ($48.50) or half ($32.50) portions each day for each guest.

Check-in: 5-7 p.m. (check in after 7 p.m. requires pre-arrangement)

Check-out: 10 a.m.

COTTAGES & GUEST HOUSES
Bed linens and towels are provided; please bring your own pillow. Housekeeping will not clean your accommodation each day but additional towels and linens will be available at a central location in the lodge.

Upon check-out, trash should be placed in outside bins and furniture arranged as it was at check-in.

A $150 housekeeping deposit is applied at booking, and if the cottage is left in good condition, is refunded. Examples of why a deposit would not be refunded include furniture being rearranged, arts and crafts (such as clay, playdough, paint) left on floors or porches, excessive trash or dirt, furniture taken from other buildings on campus, etc. This deposit may also be utilized to offset additional labor hours needed if established check-out times are not honored.

Kanuga Market, located in West Dining Hall inside Kanuga Lake Lodge, is the *pickup location for meals, which should be eaten in your cottage or outside (while respecting social distancing guidelines).
Two meal package options are available (three meals a day per guest):
• Full-portion size ($48.50 per day)
• Half-portion size ($32.50 per day)

Please bring a shopping bag or picnic basket for transport from Kanuga Market to your cottage. Additional signature Kanuga items are available for purchase, such as cheese straws, pimento cheese, house-made chips, hummus, chicken salad, and soups. Please note that each member of your party will be charged separately for food and beverage. (Remember to return Kanuga’s mason jars before you check out!)

A reservations agent will take your meal requests and dietary restrictions once your reservation is confirmed. Please note that with supply-chain issues, food costs for Kanuga can be much higher than normal and menu items may change unexpectedly.

Carafes of coffee are available each morning. Milk, soft drinks, beer, and wine, along with some mixers, are available for purchase.

Each cottage has dinnerware and eating utensils for your use. An initial bottle of dishwashing soap and dish towel will be provided for you to wash these in your cottage sink.

You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks.

In numbers of ten or less, cottage guest groups may enjoy nature hikes and walking trails, outdoor worship, fishing (catch-and-release), swimming, boating, basketball, and tennis. Beginning June 27, a wider variety of activities and programs will be available for an additional fee. You are welcome to bring tennis rackets, bikes & helmets, frisbees, camping chairs, shade umbrellas, or hammocks for playing and relaxing outdoors.
*Some activities require a reservation.*

A sign-up link will be provided before your arrival for activities requiring reservations.
