Come, sit a spell

Porches have long been an essential part of the Kanuga experience, inviting impromptu gatherings both large and small. Kanuga porches, whether they are a part of a Historic Cottage or the Kanuga Lake Inn, encourage guests to take the time to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty, enjoy the fresh air and engage in relaxed conversations with the sound of birds as the backdrop.
Now, with the Kanuga Lake Inn renovation, set to be completed in May, more guests can take pleasure in God’s creation just outside their door with the installation of additional covered porches. There will be 44 guest rooms offering covered porches–14 on the first floor and 15 each on the second and third floors.
“We know sitting on a porch is something our guests love to do, and we want to offer that enjoyment to more guests as part of the Inn renovation,” explained Ricky Varnadore, vice president of property.
Another addition sure to please guests at the Inn is a newly-expanded large terrace on the main floor facing Kanuga Lake.
