A community gathering aims to heal hearts with the music of Roots Grown Deep, featuring Aditi Sethi, for pay-what-you-can event, Oct. 27
Kanuga invites the community to an evening of healing music and spiritual reflection on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 4:30 p.m. for “An Evening for All Souls: A Gathering for Grief and Gratitude” with music from acclaimed musicians Roots Grown Deep, featuring local musician Aditi Sethi, executive director of the Center for Conscious Living and Dying (CCLD) in Asheville, North Carolina.
In light of recent events, Kanuga has adapted this event to meet the needs of its Western North Carolina community, making it free for all — Suggested donation of $10. Donations of any amount assist Kanuga in its campus recovery efforts. First responders and healthcare workers are also welcome to attend free of charge.
In addition to music and food, Kanuga partners Yoga and Massage (YAM) and Spirit Cove, which provides emotional support and therapy services with cuddly Newfoundland dogs, will be on-site to offer free relief services for the community. Southern Appalachian Brewery has also partnered with Kanuga to provide adult beverages at the event.
The healing event officially begins at 4:30 p.m., though guests wishing to participate in a 4-5 p.m. yoga session, led by YAM and held in the pavilion, should arrive early. A comforting meal of chili and cornbread will be served at 4:30 p.m. Following this light supper, guests will enjoy the music of Roots Grown Deep whose acclaimed, cross-continental music aims to soothe our hearts and souls in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The evening culminates with luminaria released over Kanuga Lake as a symbol of our collective grief, while also offering gratitude for all that has sustained us over the past few weeks.
Tickets to “An Evening for All Souls” are now free for all those in the community seeking a place to heal, though registration through Eventbrite is appreciated to provide an accurate headcount for the meal. RAIN OR SHINE. REGISTER BY OCTOBER 25.
