Winterlight 30

Nearly 200 teens from across the United States, and even France and Scotland, gathered at Kanuga Dec. 27, 2005-Jan. 1, 2006, for Winterlight 30. Marking the 30th anniversary of this annual youth conference, it was homecoming for veterans and newcomers alike.
The inspirational five-day event was filled with laughter, music, worship and non-stop activity, including small group discussions of faith, hiking, swing dance lessons, arts and crafts, ultimate Frisbee, late-night pizza parties and a praise and worship concert. Winterlight 30 culminated on New Year's Eve with a semi-formal dinner and a solemn Eucharist ceremony followed by fireworks and dancing.
Winterlight 30 also marked the introduction of a special program for the adults who accompanied youth to the conference.
Began in 1976, Winterlight is a time for high school students to gather, to celebrate, to explore your thoughts and beliefs, to worship and to make friends from many states — all by being in a Christian community.
