Guest Periods

Come, Relax, Stay a While

THE PAVILLIONGuest Periods at Kanuga! One of Kanuga’s longest traditions is the gathering of families and persons at Guest Period. Since the early 1930s, generations overlap and friendships are renewed in a Christian community, taking time for recreation, study, worship with one another—family or friend.

Summer Guest Period are offered during the months of July and August, with See The Leaves in October, Thanksgiving in November and Christmas in December. These are great times to gather in the mountains of western North Carolina and enjoy the fellowship of guests, many of whom have spent decades in the same cottage, the same week.

There are plenty of program opportunities for all ages. Upon arrival, you will refer to a weekly schedule that describes the variety of entertainment or you can choose to find a rocking chair on one of the many porches to enjoy a novel or chat with a friend. Whatever you do during your Guest Period time at Kanuga, you will want to make it an annual occurrence.

Leave the program planning, housekeeping, cooking, guest services and support to the Kanuga staff who is available to help make your stay enjoyable.
