We are told to "lift up our hearts" each week at the beginning of Communion but what does this phrase really mean?

At JYP, we will explore what it means to openly, sincerely and thankfully offer your heart to God.

We will name gifts God has given us as, seeking to identify how God provides for us and to discover ways we can live lives that demonstrate thankfulness for those gifts: lives with hearts uplifted!

Conference Staff

COORDINATORS: Catherine Nelson Sawyer has a master's degree in school counseling from Vanderbilt University and is a college counselor at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tenn. A member of Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, she has been on staff at both Winterlight and JYP for many years. This is her second year helping to coordinate JYP. Tim Meyers is the director of youth ministry at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Charlotte, N.C. Previously he directed youth ministry at Calvary Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tenn., and Christ Church in Pensacola, Fla. This is his fourth year helping to coordinate JYP.

CHAPLAIN: The Rev. Gene Manning is assistant rector at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, Tenn., giving special attention to the pastoral needs of youth and young adults.

MUSICIAN: Mike Peterson lives in New Orleans and has been involved with youth and adult ministries for more than 10 years. He has been returning consistently to Kanuga since he first attended a conference here in 1996.

Double Occupancy	$440 per person Includes program, lodging, meals and use of recreational facilities

Deposit	$100 per person Nonrefundable. Nontransferable. Deposit deducted from total fee.
Balance Due	May 20 (To register after this date, please send a check or use a credit card for the full amount.)

Check-In	4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 20
Check-Out	After breakfast Friday, June 25
Conference Registration
All JYP participants are required to complete and return additional forms (Medical Form, Parent Authorization and Community Covenant) before the registration is considered complete. This form will be sent to you by email or you may download the registration form from the web site. Please remember to complete the form and send it to Kanuga to complete your registration.
