Prayer is one of the cornerstones of Christian practice, but when asked to pray teens often cringe, panic and attempt to pass the buck.

Praying should be an honor but sometimes it is seen as a burden. AWWWY will explore what prayer means to us and to our young people.

Learn ways to teach young people to pray as well as different styles of prayer we can pray together.

Enjoy a week of education, rest and networking with volunteer and professional youth leaders from across the country.

Conference Staff

COORDINATOR: Sam Hensley of Roanoke, Va., has been involved in youth ministry since 1996. He has spent the last seven years as a professional church musician leading conferences, workshops and worship across the country. He filmed his first music video in 2008 during Winterlight 33 at Kanuga.

CHAPLAIN: The Rev. Ben Robertson is rector of All Saints Episcopal Church in Gastonia, N.C.

Cost
Double Occupancy	$470 per person Includes program, lodging, meals and use of recreational facilities
Single Occupancy (Based on availability)	$632 per person Includes program, lodging, meals and use of recreational facilities.
Child (age 3-11)	$300 per person Includes program, lodging, meals and use of recreational facilities.

Deposit	$100 per person Nonrefundable. Nontransferable. Deposit deducted from total fee.
