Christian Formation Conference

Making Disciples:
Proclaiming the Word
June 14 - 19, 2009

Kanuga's Christian Formation Conference features two tracks of study, plus options for mentor training and teacher certification.

Conferees can attend one or both segments but the greatest benefit, and a rate incentive, comes by participating for the entire week.

This Week of Lifelong Learning is for all who lead Christian formation/education at church. It also helps parents and grandparents who simply want to nurture their family’s faith.

As with all Kanuga summer conferences, you can make this week your mountain vacation. While parents attend sessions, young people participate in their own programs directed by our carefully selected staff in a safe and fun Christian environment.

Spouses can fish, hike, play tennis or nearby golf, relax on the porch or by the lake and visit area attractions. The whole family can spend time together in the afternoons and evenings.

Earn leadership training for EfM, Godly Play or J2A

For a second year, Kanuga's Christian Formation Conference will offer the option to earn leadership training for four programs. There is an additional $50 training fee per program.

By attending the entire June 14-19 Week of Lifelong Learning, you can earn certification training related to your ministry — adults or children/youth — and attend the many other workshops specifically designed for your ministry.

Anyone seeking mentor training or certification must register by Friday, May 30.

Workshops

Morning and afternoon, three workshop periods will be offered daily on Monday and Wednesday, two on Tuesday and Thursday and one on Friday. Four kinds of programs will be offered at every 90-minute workshop period:

Workshop options for Children & Youth Faith Formation, June 14-17
Workshop options for Adult Faith Formation, June 16-19
