"You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." – Matthew 5:14-16
Each and every one of us has been commissioned to carry God's light into the world, by letting our own gifts shine and by serving others.
At Winterlight 32, we will seek out the ways our lives have been illuminated by God and how we shine that light in the world around us.

NEW! This year, Winterlight is partnering with Stop Hunger Now, an organization that provides lifesaving meals to millions who are suffering from starvation. Conference participants will spend an afternoon preparing meals to be shipped to countries such as Haiti, Kenya, Ghana, Honduras and more. Some 10 million people die of hunger every year; we want to do our part to help this world wide problem.
Begun in 1976, Winterlight is a time for teenagers to gather, celebrate, explore their thoughts and beliefs, worship and make friends from many states — all within a welcoming, supportive Christian community.
Adults accompanying youth also have a special place at Winterlight. Introduced in 2005, the Adult Program will be included again this year. Coordinated by Aimee Bostwick, youth coordinator for the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, adult participants will attend all plenary sessions and will have their own programs.
