Camper Spotlight: Hayden Roberts
Meet Hayden Roberts, a longtime camper at Camp Kanuga. Recently, Hayden devoted quite a bit of time and energy towards building a number of benches for Camp Bob, Kanuga's camp for boys and girls of disadvantaged backgrounds and other special populations.
Hayden is well on his way to attaining the rank of Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts of America. This rank is achieved by only a small number of young men who enter the Boy Scouts. In order to achieve this rank, Hayden had to complete an Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project which demonstrates leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of the community (Thank you Wikipedia). In addition, he had to earn 21 merit badges, and will take part in a Scoutmaster conference and a board of review.

When planning his project, Hayden got in touch with David Griffin, Director of Camp Bob, and explained that Kanuga has meant a lot to him and it would be a great honor to give back through his Eagle Scout Service Project. After months of planning and working, Hayden delivered these wonderful new benches to Camp Bob on November 15th.
We are very proud of Hayden and his accomplishments and look forward to his return to Camp Kanuga next summer.
