Ian Gregg comes to Camp

Hi Campers,

My name is Ian Gregg and this is my first summer at Kanuga. I am looking forward to the opportunity of being a counselor.

I am from Hobe Sound, FL, a little town north of West Palm Beach. I just finished my freshman year at Western Carolina University where I am majoring in Marketing. Although I have never been a camper at Kanuga, I have spent many summers out west in Montana horseback riding and hiking. I also learned archery from a family friend out there who builds custom bows. I enjoy singing and have performed in choirs and choruses since elementary school. I like to play almost any type of sport, and I enjoy trying new and different things.

I cannot wait to meet everyone and get the summer rolling.

Edric Filpo Joins the Staff

Hey guys!

My name is Edric Filpo and I am from San Antonio, Texas (and yes everything is bigger in Texas). This will be my first year as camp counselor at Camp Kanuga and I can't wait for all the fun to begin.

I am currently attending the University of Texas in San Antonio and I am majoring in Kinesiology (this is my final major after changing three times). I really enjoy keeping myself busy whether it be working for my school organization, teaching martial arts, or officiating soccer games.

When I'm not busy I enjoy playing sports, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and best of all, going to the movies (Office Space is my favorite)...and yes I have already seen Spider-man 3. It was pretty cool.

Well, summer camp is just around the corner and I totally can't wait to meet everyone. I know this summer's going to be a blast so see ya'll.

Julia Back for 10th Summer

Hey campers,
My name is Julia Messer. I am so very excited to be returning to Camp as the Chaplain again this summer, and this will be my 10th year at CK! I cannot wait to see everyone, old and new, in just a few more weeks.
Over the last year I have been busy. I interned at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, VA, was granted Postulancy for Holy Orders by the Bishop of Southern Virginia, was a Nanny for 3 months, and just got back from a month long trip to Switzerland. I enter seminary this August.
I am still refereeing FIFA soccer games and just got certified to ref High School games as well.
See you then,
Julia
