2007!

3/27/07
Camp Kanuga 2007...FULL
Trailblazers...still a few spots left.

Just so you know, just because camp is full, does not mean some people will not come off the waiting list. If you want to get in, the only way to TRY to get in is to register for the waiting list.

Six Leaf Clover

Six...yes SIX...leaf clover! So I am walking back from lunch today and bam...there it is...a six leaf clover. You are probably counting five leaves, but what appears to be the leaf in the top right hand corner is actually two separate leaves crammed together making this a very unique SIX LEAF CLOVER. Sorry for the randomness of this blog posting, I just had to share how cool that is.
CAMPER REGISTRATIONS as of 3/21/07
Session 1, full for girls, still enrolling boys
Session 2, FULL + a waiting list
Session 3, FULL + a waiting list
Session 4, FULL + a waiting list
Session 5, two spaces left for girls, 3 spaces left for boys
In other words, if you want to register for camp, you better do it now.

LTs, who wants to be one?

As you know, the LT session for boys is Session 4. Even though the March 1 deadline has passed, I want all of you who want to be LTs during this session to apply within the next week. We still have a few spaces left.

So BIG NEWS on the camp front...we are enrolling campers faster than we have in FIVE years. Session 2 is full. Session 3 and 4 are full for girls and the boys are close behind with only 3-4 spaces left. Soon all of our 14-day sessions will have waiting lists. Even though Nicole and I hate waiting lists because they sometimes mean a camper who wants in to a particular session cannot get in, it is exciting because we have so many campers eager to come back to camp.

Every once in a while, new campers ask me "what is the best session?" The fact of the matter is that they are all the best sessions, each one exciting in its own way. So if you find out that you're on a waiting list, you should really think about switching sessions. Same great activities and staff, just different campers who you can meet and become friends with. It is all very exciting!

One more thing...I also promised our Camp Registrar, Nicole, that I'd let you ALL know that she beat me in Scrabble the other night. Congrats Nicole! (After submitting this post for the first time, Nicole thought it was necessary that you knew that this was her third win in Scrabble, so I had to add this extra sentence)
