Exciting News from Camp

Dear All,

I thought I would keep all of you up to date on the recent excitement surrounding Camp Kanuga. You can read my previous blog postings to see that I was encouraging all of our veteran campers to take advantage of our veteran camper deadline (October 15, 2007). In the end 363 of you took advantage of this new policy. Let me try to help you understand how great that is:

• This is the most we have ever had registered by October 15 of any previous camp year.
• 363 campers is 3.24 times the amount of campers we had registered last year by October 15.
• 363 campers is 1.63 times the amount of campers we have EVER had registered by October 15.
• We did not have 363 campers registered for the summer of 2007 until January 15, 2007.

The deadline is now over. So now what?

Well...now it is time to find Camp Kanuga's new campers. What has always excited me about Camp Kanuga is that we have such amazing campers. We have figured out that the best campers come from you...our veteran campers. The kids that you spend your time with at school, church and even other kids from your family are the ones who come to camp excited because they had you to explain what Camp Kanuga is all about. You are the most important part in recruiting new campers.

Soon, I will be sending the 2008 Camp Kanuga brochure. It is very important that you share the brochure with other people that you think might be interested in coming to camp. But in the meantime, you can steer your friends and family to the camp's website. The 2008 registration form is up so if they know they want to come, then they can go ahead and register now, before the camp brochure goes to Kanuga's mailing list. In fact, I would recommend you steer them to the website soon because we are expecting camp to fill very early in 2008.
