Paul to Head Up Green River Preserve

Recognizing the value that he has had to Kanuga, especially to Camp Kanuga, over the last 14 years, I hope you will all help me bid Paul Bockoven a very fond farewell as he takes on his new role at Green River Preserve, located about 30 minutes from Kanuga.

Throughout much of the 1990’s, Paul directed the Trailblazer Adventure and in 2005, Paul also served as Director of Camp Kanuga. Having been an integral part in building Camp Bob and the Mountain Trail Outdoor School into the strong and flourishing programs they are today, we are thankful for his devotion and creativity over the years.

I happen to know that a “good-bye” is not appropriate in this situation, but rather a “see you later” since his love for Kanuga will bring him back often. His last day is February 2. When you get a chance, please remember to email him or write him a letter to thank him for his time spent at Kanuga.

Having been to the Green River Preserve, I can say that this is a great move for Paul. The food there could be improved a bit, but the trails around the area are amazing.

Good luck Paul, and thanks for your many years at Kanuga.
