Camp Season Comes to a Close
The 2006 camp season has come to an end. We had 590 wonderful campers and 43 Trailblazers join us for an amazing summer. 
The Space Mountain or the B.I.T. (Big Inflatable Thing) as Neil liked to call it was a huge hit this summer. A very good addition to our waterfront don't you think?
I'm very sad to see another summer go by. It was such an amazing group of staff members and campers. I am happy though to know that camp is just another nine months away. Check in on the blog often...I'll keep you posted on what is going on up here.

this past summer was definatley my best kanuga summer ever, it was my 7th year and this is probably the best staff i've ever had. they were amazing!
It's sooooo sad to see Kanuga 2006 over forever. Ilove kanuga so much
after going there for 5 years,it is my home away from home.there are so many awesome people that i look up to, like Mollie m, Kate s,Bryson and Ellen, and much much more. I could live there and never want to go home.

I had so much fun @ camp!! I was in Session 3 & it was my 1st year!!! I made so many friends that i still keep in touch with! Its really hard 2 believe it has ended...soon enough though...it will start again :-)
I cant wait till session 1 next year, my dad said i might even get to stay for session 2!!!! i cant wait! and trust me brad, i will check on the blog often! lol. U need to post some photos from all the sessions, or atleast do what u did last year, send out a cd with all the pictures!!

Nonie you made my day! I am so glad that you guys look up to me. When I was you age, I did the same thing to people like Hariette, she was my big sis my first two years! I never thought you guys would in turn do the same. Oh man that first picture is Gus and Elijah! SESSION 2 AND 3 BABY! Congrats Brad you made me cry for the third time this year! HAHA! It is SO depressing to have something you have grown to love SO much taken away from you that quickly. Don't worry Brad i will always come back there. The noog is my home! I mean as the song says..."I may go away but i'll never cause this old place is a part of me". In 20 years when i have kids and i am married i am still going to have those memories in my heart nothing can change that. Those experiences that I have had will still influence my life like they have every year. This year I think I truly figured out what the Kanuga spirit is. I think that different people have different meanings that they think are true but they all come back to one thing TRUST! The trust in other people, the trusting the choices you make, and most importantly trusting yourself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart brad. This was the absolute best year for me, and I know that you had a huge role in that. So thank you. I will check the blog when I can.

Camp has a big impact on our lives. It sure has had one on mine.My best friend in the world I met at kanuga. I hate staring at the count down its so far away ughhhh!! I miss everyone there soo badly!! THANKS SO MUCH BRAD for being an amazing director!

It's so sad to see another awesome year go by. I hate looking at the countdown to camp because it's soo far away. I'm crying right now, I miss every one sooo much.:{ By the way Brad, You made this year one of my best. I love you all so much. I will always love the Noog. It will never, ever leave my heart. Like anonymous said, it's sad and depressing. But that doesn't get me down- I can always loolk forward to next year-session 2and3 baby!! I can't wait!

Mollie! Nonie! Hey! It's Chandler Cabin 5! The 2008 camp year was def the best yet! It was also my 8th summer there! I can't wait to make it 9! I have two more summers as a camper and I am def hoping to become a counselor! I love Camp Kanuga! It is my home away from home without a doubt! <3 :) And Mollie, what is the name of the closing ceremony song? It's driving me crazy because I saw the lyrics and I remember the tune but I don't know the name! Please Help! I love you all! <3 Chandler D
