A History Lesson
I visited Boston this weekend. While there, I visited Old North Church, the church that Paul Revere made his famous midnight ride from on April 18, 1775. He was sent on this ride to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams that the British were coming. He lit a single lantern in the steeple of Old North Church, which meant the British were coming by land. After lighting this lantern, he started on his midnight ride warning the residents on the road to Lexington by yelling, "The British are coming!"Did you know that this church (also called Christ Church) is an Episcopal church? Why is this significant? Camp Kanuga is an Episcopal camp. Kinda cool, huh?
